Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre: Dracovenator

Dracovenator is a genus of neotheropod dinosaur that lived approximately 201 to 199 million years ago during the early part of the Jurassic period in what is now South Africa. Dracovenator was a medium-sized, moderately built, ground-dwelling, bipedal carnivore, that could grow up to an estimated 5.5–6.5 metres (18–21 ft) in length and 250 kilograms (550 lb) in body mass. Its type specimen was based on only a partial skull that was recovered.

I carefully digitally reconstructed Dracovenator from fossil records with intensive input from Dr Kimberley Chapelle.

Dracovenator was then fully 3D printed and hand-finished at Scale Studios Nz, hand painted by our incredible team; @nika_beaton @the_desserter_nz @mika_turnbull @punkbogan @louie.w_k @charmant_cherie with eyes by @fourthsealstudios

Now, Dracovenator stands proudly at the Kgodumodumo Dinosaur Interpretive Centre — a stunning new museum in Golden Gate Highlands National Park, South Africa by @digitalfabricsa Digital and @office247_architecture.
